The rationale behind the FAKGPBRS were definitely validated this week, as the human preseason and early season polls had a rough ride this week. From the preseason AP-25, only USC, LSU, and Wisconsin remain unbeaten. From the AP-25 for week 4, only LSU, USC, California, Ohio State, and Wisconsin remain unbeaten.
In contrast, the FAKGPBRS week 4 poll retained LSU, USC, Boston College, California, Ohio State, Arizona State, and Kentucky as unbeaten this week.
Now admittedly, it's still early, and the number of unbeaten teams remaining week-to-week is not the only rubric of a poll's adeptness. As the season progresses we'll get a better idea of FAKGPBRS' advantages and shortcomings.
