Anyway, since my position entails getting the inside scoop on things, here are a couple of things that came across my plate recently. First, an email from the Student Body Executive Office:
would have liked. Rough losses at home and on the road have left the
nation wondering what has happened to Notre Dame football. The
national media has portrayed our season as over and our team as the
worst team in the NCAA.
It is time for this negativity to end.
This is our team. Those are our friends, our classmates, and our
roommates. It is time that we rally around our team and show them
that we support them through thick and thin.
This Thursday, September 20th, we encourage everyone to wear The
Shirt as a sign of solidarity and support for the football team. As
it says on the front, we can come "together as one," and battle the
adversity of an 0-3 start. The season is still young and by no means
over. Let's put the first three games behind us, and prepare for this
weekend.

Valiant enough, I guess, but I MUST mention that Braun, the VP, was the same one who left the Georgia Tech game with 3 minutes left in the game. Bad form, student leader. Bad form.
So yeah, you should see a lot of green this Thursday.
Also, nobody on the football team has any additional information regarding the D. Jones
In other news, practice yesterday was a bitch from what I hear. Alright with me.
UPDATE: Here is the latest email sent to us regarding Solidarity Day:
Project to promote the proposed "Solidarity Day" on Thursday, Sep 20th when
students would wear The Shirt in support of the ND Football Team.
On Thursday, Sep 20th, people nationwide are also encouraged to support the Jena
6 by wearing black as a sign of solidarity in support of the students involved.
It was not the intention of Student Government to plan a day in support of ND
Football on the same day as a national movement to support the Jena 6. This was
obviously an oversight on our part, and by no means a political statement or an
attempt to overshadow the importance of this national issue.
We encourage you to support the Jena 6 protest by wearing black, in place of The
Shirt, on Thursday, Sep 20th.
Please wear The Shirt on Friday, Sep 21st, in support of the ND Football Team as
they continue their season against Michigan State on Saturday.
Again, we apologize for our grave oversight and reiterate that it was not our
intention to divert attention from the Jena 6 protest.
In Notre Dame,
Liz Brown
Student Body President
Maris Braun
Student Body Vice President
Racists.
Also please note that they have no idea that "Solidarity Day" takes place the day before we need to wear our "The Shirt" for the game. This doesn't bother Maris because she was wearing pink last game.
